 OLEG SPECTOR - Systema SpetsNaz “Russian Style” Combat
Oleg Spector has been in Martial Arts for over 30 years. He is the Founder and Chief Instructor of the Shoto-Jutsu Karate Academy. Oleg started to train in Asian Martial Arts at the age of fourteen, studying Wing Chung Kung Fu, Shotokan Karate, Judo, Jujutsu & Tae Kwon Do. He earned his Black Belt in 1987, training under Sensei Emil Farkas, who is internationally recognized as an expert in practical street self-defense.
Mr. Spector competed in numerous tournaments on the International circuit, establishing himself as a professional Martial Artist and Referee.
He worked in the security / bodyguard field over ten years. Providing service in the banking, industrial and private sectors.
Mr. Spector worked as a stunt men, fight coordinator, screen writer and producer of numerous Martial Arts Instructional Films.
Over the years, Oleg taught Self Defense and Survival skills to people from all walks of life. Shoto Jutsu Martial Arts Academy offer Reality Based Self Defense Training through seminars and regular weekly classes.
In October 2006, Oleg Spector was asked to represent the Systema SpetsNaz – Russian Style Hand to Hand Combat International – founded by Mr. Vadim Starov. Systema SpetsNaz is not a Martial Art – it is a System of Survival in Extreme Situations. This system was developed for Russian Special Forces.
In July 2009 – Mr. Spector completed Master Class Training in Tver, Russia and was awarded 4th Level Instructor Rank in Systema Spetsnaz – Russian Style Hand to Hand Combat.

September 20, 1987 – Shodan – 1st degree Black Belt – Oleg Spector is hereby honored and awarded such recognition by the Beverly Hills Karate Academy Board of Examiners – Emil Farkas, 7th Dan – Chief Instructor.
Summer 1987 – 8th Annual Open Karate Tournament – 1st place Black Belt division - Oxnard Peace Officers Association.
Summer 1987 – Long Beach International Karate Championships – 1st place Black Belt division- This International Martial Arts tournament in Long Beach, California is well-known due to several appearances of the famous Martial Arts Legend such as Bruce Lee.
Summer 1989 – Long Beach International Karate Championships – 3rd place Japanese/Okinawan Style Black Belt division.
October 6, 1989 – Almanac PANORAMA Newspaper announces about “Young New Karate Star” in Los Angeles, CA
November 17th, 1998 – International Rank of Black Belt 5th Dan in the art of Shoto Jutsu. Black Belt rank was issued by Master Jin Yang 8th Dan – Jin Yang Tae-Kyon Martial Arts.
November 1998 – AFISHA – Russian-American Newspaper announces about opening the First Russian Karate School in Los Angeles under Chief Instructor and owner Oleg Spector. School is located in North Hollywood since 1998.
2001 – Oleg Spector released his first instructional video – the Ultimate Protection – Crash Course in Self Defense. It was limited VHS addition, but you can still find the original copy at Amazon.
September 29th, 2001 – 8th World Cup Committee – World Top Outstanding Performance – Golden Award by Che Cheng Chiang (President of IMAF/IKFF) and Shin Hsiung Chen (Senior Adjudicator)
July 21st, 2006 – 25th year celebration of the Kung Fu International Federation – Appreciation for the Outstanding Contribution of Oleg Spector to Martial Arts World. Mr. Spector has passed the examination of the 25th Anniversary Special Demonstration Championship Evaluation Commitee and obtained the Gold Metal Award.
October 2006 – Oleg Spector became a Representative of Systema SpetsNaz – Russian Style Hand to Hand Combat International.
June 2007 – Russian Newspaper “VSTRECHA” announced about opening first and exclusive school of Russian Combat – Systema Spetsnaz in America.
Summer 2007 - Oleg Spector with Vadim Starov released more then 10 instructional videos about Russian Combat – Systema Spetsnaz. These videos were announced as one of the top instructional videos in Martial Arts.
November 2007 – World-Cup Champion – 1st place at the 11th World Cup International Martial Arts Championship - IMAF/IKFF.
May 21st, 2009 – the 28th Anniversary of IMAF – World Outstanding contribution awards certify that Mr. Oleg Spector participated in the 12th World Cup Championship obtained World Outstanding Performance Gold Award. Issued by Dr. Che Cheng Chiang (International Martial Arts Federation Chairman – 10th Dan) and Dr. James OH ( International Martial Arts Federation President)
Spring 2009 – Mr. Spector released Instructional DVD – Survival Tactics
July 2009 – Oleg Spector was awarded 4th Level Instructor Rank in Systema Spetsnaz.
September 2011 – 13th World Cup International Martial Arts Championship – Oleg Spector received World Outstanding Gold Award in competition and demonstration of Shoto Jutsu Karate – devoting his life to the Traditional Martial Arts. Awared issued by Che Cheng Chiang (Chairman – 10th Dan), Jose Luis Sosa (President) and Xiao Cui Liu (General Secretary) – IMAF/IKFF.
